Pio supports importing Products, Orders, and Move lists directly into the app using CSV template files. This feature offers a flexible alternative to API integrations, as it eliminates the need for integrations with your CMS, ERP, WMS, or other software.
When to use the CSV Import feature
If you want to start using Pio without writing code or setting up API integrations, CSV import is the fastest way to get started. You can upload single products, product catalogs, kits, work orders, sales orders, and purchase data directly from spreadsheets exported from your ERP, WMS, or other software.
Many industrial customers still rely on older systems that don’t support modern APIs. In these cases, the CSV import is an alternative that eliminates the need for coding and integration work.
Work orders and subscription kits can be configured and imported via CSV files. Useful when they involve multiple SKUs from external systems.
File types for Pio Imports
CSV files can be imported from the Imports section in Pio Admin, or directly from the specific overviews, such as Inventory and Orders. All supported Import files can be uploaded from either location.
Start by navigating to Pio Admin > Imports and select 'Import' in the upper-right corner. This will give you an overview of all available import file types.
Available import types are:
- Products
- Orders
- Move lists
More file types will be added in later releases:
- Search lists
- Purchase orders
- Replenishment
Purchase Orders are already available to upload in the Purchase Order section, but the current file upload is located in the Purchase Order section in Pio Admin.
