Replenishment rules - set the min/max stock levels for your SKUs

NOTE

The Pio app features presented in this article are only visible to Pio Admins.

Replenishment is the process of restocking inventory or supplies to ensure there are always enough items available in the grid to meet demand.

With Pio Replenishment, you get an overview of the inventory stored as backstock on shelves, and which items need to be moved from backstock and into the grid.

This article is about setting the replenishment rules for your SKUs in the Pio app. To do the replenish of the grid, follow the steps in this article: Replenishment - move stock from shelves to bins

Enable the Replenishment list

Navigate to Pio Admin > Inventory > Replenishment. This is where to set the rules for when an SKU should be replenished.

Start with toggling on the Replenishment switch first. This will enable the Replenishment feature in the Housekeeping section of the Pio App, and also add a list called 'Shelf to grid replenishment'.

Set Replenishment rules

The 'Shelf to grid replenishment' list includes all available SKUs in the Pio app.

The Max and Min levels are set to 1 by default in the pre-generated list. Double-tap the number you want to edit and add a new min or max level for the SKU. The list can be edited directly in the iPad app or exported to Excel.

Minimum quantity

Set the minimum level to the number that will trigger replenishing. If the minimum level is set to 5, the SKU will not appear on the replenish list in the app until the grid quantity is less than 5 and at the same time there is available stock on a shelf location.

Maximum quantity

Set the maximum level to the number of items you would like to refill up to as an upper limit in the grid.

The number in the 'Delta' column will be used in the Housekeeping > Replenishment list.

Import/Export lists

The replenishment list can be edited directly in the Pio app on either your iPad or PC. If you are going to set min/max levels for a larger number of SKUs, we recommend exporting the list as a CSV file and editing it by using Excel or similar tools, and then importing it when ready.

You will find the 'Import' and 'Export' buttons at the top of the Replenishment screen:

Remove all items from the replenishment list

The 'Remove all' option will allow you to clear the generated replenishment list. A warning message will be asked to confirm before the list is cleared.

A new replenishment list can be generated by toggling the 'Replenishment' setting off and on again.
