NOTE
The Pio app features presented in this article are visible only to Pio Admins.
You can create kits that are collections of products in Pio. A kit can consist of as many items as you want.
Kits are useful if you are selling product bundles or sets in your online store, like a shaving set or a Christmas gift collection.

How kits are structured
Kits in Pio are built using a “mother” product and “child” items. The "mother" product is the main product, and must be flagged as a kit when synced to Pio from your integration. The individual "child" items are attached to the kit inside Pio.
You can find your kits under 'Inventory' in Pio Admin > Inventory > Kits.
How to create a kit product
To create a kit in Pio, the main product must be synced from your ERP, e-Commerce or WMS system. Only the main product can be synced via the integration. The kit contents are then added to the main product in Pio.
If you are using the Pio x Shopify integration, follow the steps below to sync a kit product to Pio:
- Log in to your Shopify account
- Go to all products
- Click 'Add product'
- Add the required product details
- Add a tag to the product called PIOKIT
- Save the product
Once saved, the kit will appear in the Inventory > Kits list.
How to add single products to a kit
Select the kit you want to edit, and use the ‘Add Products’ button at the top right.
Search by SKU or product name to find the products you want to add.
Select the item you want to add from the list by clicking it, and set the number of items to add. Click ‘Confirm’ to add the product to the kit contents.
A status update will confirm that the item has been added to the kit.
Edit contents
In the Kit content list, next to the product you want to edit, select the dotted icon to prompt the editing menu. Here you can 'Edit quantity' of contents in a kit, or 'Remove from kit' if a product is no longer applicable.
The number next to the kit title shows the total of available kits in stock. The number on each item line, next to the dotted icon, shows the quantity of the product currently stored in Pio.
NOTE
If an item inside a kit is out of stock (or has an insufficient number of items to make a kit), the entire kit is set as ‘out of stock’. You can change this by updating the item amount or replacing missing items.
Kit details
Select a kit in the inventory list to see the kit contents and details. This page will show you the kit title, SKU number, product image, available quantity, and list the contents of this specific kit.
Sort and filter
You can sort the kits list by:
- Kits available (min-max/max-min)
- Kit size (min-max/max-min)
- Name (a-z/z-a)
