While picking orders in Pio, you may be presented with a bin that does not contain the quantity of items needed to complete the order.
There can be different reasons why the bin quantity doesn't match, but one of the most common reasons are because the products were counted incorrectly when storing them in the bin. Another reason is when searching the bin and taking the item out, the bin's inventory wasn't adjusted accordingly.
Flag the bin with missing items
First, when picking from a bin, verify that the number of items in the bin compartment matches the quantity shown in the Pio App. If the number does match, everything is fine and you can pick the item as intended.
Once you've confirmed that the quantity of items shown on the bin compartment does not match the number of items in the, the bin should be flagged as deviation. Tap the three dots button in the top menu, select "Report issue", and use the category "Wrong Amount".
Completing the order
If the order has multiple order lines, continue picking the rest of the items and follow the instructions on the picking screen. Pio will automatically mark the order with missing items as Deviated. This order will not be completed automatically, and should be marked with the order number when placed on the designated shelf for deviated orders. Please follow the instructions for deviated orders to complete them.
Resolve the bin deviation
The flagged bin will show in both Housekeeping > Resolve bin deviations and in the Search. Please follow this guide to Resolve bin deviations
