Resolving bin deviations

Bin deviations are reported when a port worker is picking orders, and flag the the order with either a missing or broken item in the bin. This leaves a deviation for the bin that needs to be checked and resolved separately to resolving the order deviation.

A bin deviation can be handled by any user of the Pio app, unlike Order deviations that must be followed up by a Manager or Admin user.

View bin deviation issues

Select Housekeeping > 'Resolve bin deviations' to view all bins with deviations.

The deviated bins are listed as a filtered Search:

Click 'View details' to see the issue category. If a comment is added, it will also show here:

Resolve the bin deviation

Select 'Add to queue' and then 'Request bins' to start the bin deviation resolving. When the bin is presented in the port, check the flagged compartment and sort out the issue. When closing the bin, you will be asked to confirm if the issue has been resolved.

When searching and requesting a bin to port that has a deviation, you will always be asked if the deviation was resolved when closing the bin. This is the same whether the bin is requested from the Housekeeping section or by using the 'Search' task. It is possible to leave the bin deviation as 'unresolved' if the bin was requested for other tasks.
