PrintNode is required for automatic shipping label printing when fulfilling orders in Pio with shipments from ShipStation. The PrintNode software connects the label printers and scales with the shipping options on the complete screen when picking orders with Pio + ShipStation.
First, add the integration to your Pio app, and then install the PrintNode client app to the PC where the printers and scales are connected.
Follow these steps to integrate Pio with your PrintNode account
Navigate to Admin > System settings > Software integrations > PrintNode to get started:
1. Add the API key that is generated in your PrintNode account:
2. Connect the printers to the Pio ports (not required, can be added later):
3. Connect scales to the ports (not required, can be added later):
When the integration is added, you will see the Connected status on the success page:
Install the PrintNode client on the workstation laptop
The PrintNode client software is required on the PC where the label printer is connected. When installing, be sure to install the client/application and not as a service (the "Install PrintNode as a Windows Service" should always be unchecked):
Log in with your PrintNode account details and navigate to the 'Printers' tab to find the available printers:
