You can manually raise and lower the lift unit and operate the gripper using the robot’s control panel.
Note: The steps for manually operating the lift are the same for R5 and R5.1 (Pro) robots. However, the R5.1 (Pro) robot requires you to press and hold the "Manual operation" button while using the "Lift" and/or "Grip" button.
Manually lift a bin with the robot
Follow the steps below to manually operate the lift and gripper functions of the robot.
Step 1 - Lower the lift
Press the lift button down to lower the lift.
Step 2 - Grip the bin
Press the Grip button down to open the gripper and hook onto a bin.
Step 4 - Raise the lift
Press the lift button up to raise the lift with the bin.
Step 5 - Release the bin
Bins can only be released when they rest on top of another bin, or at the bottom of the grid or in a Port.
Contact your support provider if the bin is jammed and cannot be moved or lifted.
