Some hardware issues require someone at your site to physically access the Grid or to assist with Robot and Bin recovery.
As a Pio customer, you are responsible for having trained Super Users available at your site who can perform these tasks when needed. This is important so that hardware issues can be handled safely and remote troubleshooting can be performed effectively.
IMPORTANT
Only trained Super Users are permitted to access the grid and perform the procedures mentioned in this article.
Safety and Grid access
Your site must have trained Super Users who can safely access and work on the Grid when required.
This includes being able to:
- Using Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements
- Safely climb and descend the Service Tower ladder
- Operate the Service Tower using its control panel
- Operate the Service Trolley
- Use the Service Trolley when working with Robots, Bins, Chargers or other AutoStore modules
A detailed overview of the Super User training is available here: Pio Super User training
Robot recovery
Your site must also be able to assist with Robot recovery when required.
A trained Super User should be available to:
- Operate a Robot manually using its control panel
- Move a Robot manually or park a Robot manually when required
- Use the appropriate tools during Robot recovery
Bin recovery
If a Bin cannot be recovered automatically, someone at your site may need to perform the recovery.
Your trained Super Users should be able to:
- Perform manual Bin recovery
- Use the Bin Retrieval Tool when a Bin cannot be recovered by hand or by a Robot
