Replenishment - move stock from shelves to bins

The replenishment flow is useful when you have a backstock of inventory stored on shelves or other locations outside the Pio grid. All inventory must be available in the Pio app to use the Replenishment flow.

The Replenishment tasks become available in the Housekeeping section after the min/max levels for inventory are added in the Pio Admin Inventory section.

The min/max levels must be configured by an Admin or Manager user: Replenishment rules - set the min/max stock levels for your SKUs

Add products to replenish

Select 'Housekeeping' > 'Replenish' to start a new replenishment task.

A replenish list can be generated in two ways:

  1. Allow the Pio app to select the products to replenish. Use the +/--buttons to automatically select adjust the replenishment list.
  2. Select the button in the top right corner and add the products from the list of available SKUs for replenishment.

Product images for the selected products are shown on the left side of the Replenish screen. The white label in the image corners indicates the quantity to pick from the shelves.

Select the products to replenish from a list

A list of all products available for replenishing is located in the top right corner. Select the button 'XX products available' to get an overview of all SKUs that have shelf stock and can be replenished to the grid. The list is generated based on the min/max levels set per SKU in the Pio Admin section.

The product list contains details of the products, including the image, name, SKU, quantity to replenish, and the shelf location(s).

Tap the '+ Add' button to add a product to the replenishment list, or use the 'Add all products' button above the list.

When the replen list is ready, hit the 'Start replenishment' button. Fetch a trolley and a scanner together with the iPad to start the picking round.

Picking from shelves

The Pio app will start with the shelf location with the lowest number. The picking page shows the shelf location to pick from and how many items to pick.

Hit 'Confirm' to continue to the next item or shelf location.

In the top menu, the picking progress keeps you informed on how many products are left to pick. The 'X products' button opens a modal where all the products in the picking list can be viewed.

Picking completed

When all items are picked, bring the trolley to a Pio Port to store the items, or select 'Do it later'.

Continue later

By selecting 'Do it later' after completing the shelf pick round, you can leave the products on the trolley until the Port is ready to use for storing. When entering Housekeeping > Replenish the next time, the current Replenishment session must be continued and completed.

It is not possible to start a new round of replenishment until the current one is completed.

Storing products in bins

Select the best-fit bin layout for the products you are storing. The Pio system will bring an empty compartment to store the items in.

If there isn't enough room to store all items in one compartment, adjust the quantity and continue storing in the next bin.

Complete the replenishing

When all picked items are stored in the grid, you are sent back to the Replenish start screen to create a new replenishment list.

Exit during storing

If a break is required during Storing of the replenishment items, a warning will be shown on the screen. By selecting 'Exit' (best option), you can continue storing the remaining products later.

By selecting 'Exit and Remove', the picked items on the trolley are left outside the Pio inventory and must be stored manually to either a shelf location or to a bin compartment.
