Pio bin overview

All goods in the grid are stored in standardized, specially designed plastic containers called bins. Goods that are delivered to a port will always be inside a bin. Bins are made of 100% recyclable material.

The dimension of a Pio bin is 40x60x30 cm.

Storage limits for bins

The maximum load for a bin is 30 kg.

Bin layouts

A bin can be split into multiple compartments by using bin dividers. By using smaller compartments you can accommodate different product categories and also keep a high fill rate in the bins.

Bin ID

Every bin is identified by a unique bin ID label.

The correct placement and packaging of bins are very important because they can affect the system operation.
